Setting up your Meta glasses

Before you can use Meta Ray-Ban glasses you’ll need a supported smartphone, a Meta account, the free Meta AI app, and an internet connection. This guide lists what’s required, walks you through downloading the app and creating an account, and then covers the glasses themselves — turning them on, charging them in the case, and pairing them with your phone, including what to do if pairing doesn’t start automatically.

Things you will need in order for these to work:

• Supported smart phone (Android 10 or above or Apple 14.4 or above both with location services enabled)
• Meta Account
• Download the Meta AI mobile app
• Internet access (4G or Wi Fi, without these the glasses have limited functionality)

The Set Up

Part A – Mobile app

In order to use your meta glasses, you will need to download and log in to the Meta AI app.

• Download the Meta AI app, this is a free app.
• Open the app
• The app will ask you to log in or create an account. If you have a meta account simply log in. If you need to create an account you will be asked for: Your email address, first and surname, date of birth and a password.
• Once you are logged into your app, make sure the Bluetooth on your phone is switched on and follow the on screen instructions to complete the set up.

Part B – The glasses

The glasses should come with enough charge to complete the set up process.

• Remove the plastic tab which is between the case and the glasses
• Remove the glasses from the case
• Tuen the glasses on, do this by sliding the power switch, which is located on the left frame, slide this towards the front of the glasses.
• Place the glasses, with the power on, into the case. Making sure that the nose bridge clicks into the charge dock.
• The green light should now be flashing blue to indicate it is ready to Bluetooth pair with your phone. If the light does not flash blue you will need to manually put the glasses in pairing mode. To do this look on the back of the glasses case. Along the bottom middle oft the case there is a button. This is not easy to see or feel. Press this button for 5 seconds or until the light on the case flashes blue.

Once your glasses are paired with your phone you are ready to start using your Meta glasses.
