Living with sight loss can leave you feeling isolated or lonely. Spending time with others who understand what you are going through can make all the difference to your wellbeing. Our regular activities and groups give you the chance to meet people, share ideas, learn new skills, or simply do the things you’ve always enjoyed.
There’s no pressure to join in straight away. Just take it at your own pace.

A friendly, relaxed group for anyone who enjoys knitting and a good catch-up. Bring the piece you are working on or just come along for a chat.
A fun, informal group where you can enjoy accessible games like dominoes, cards, or chess. It’s a great way to spend time with others and try something new.
Enjoy golf in a welcoming setting, with adaptations to make the game accessible. Suitable for all experience levels.
A gentle, supportive exercise group focused on balance, strength, and confidence. It is designed to be accessible and suitable for different ability levels.
Our Tea and Tech sessions provide you with information about accessible technology and a cup of tea or coffee.
We're delighted to be offering family adapted cycling sessions through our Being Active project in partnership with the CYC Specialist Teaching Team and York Sport.
Try visually impaired tennis in a supportive and inclusive environment. Sessions are led by a qualified coach and adapted to suit different levels.
A calm, guided session combining seated and optional standing movements. Focus on balance, relaxation, and wellbeing.
An open discussion group covering a mix of topics—from current affairs to lived experiences of sight loss.
