What our visitors can expect

What you’ll find at the centre

Our sight loss advisers will work with you to understand your needs; offering advice and finding practical solutions to make everyday life easier.

Try before you buy

From lighting to kitchen equipment, explore a wide range of equipment designed to support daily life with sight loss. Try things out in a relaxed environment before you commit to buying.

Reading assessments

If reading has recently become a chore, we can support you to find the right magnification, tools, and techniques that make it enjoyable again.

Support beyond the centre

No two people experience sight loss in the same way, so if we do not have exactly what you need, we can point you in the right direction. We can introduce you to local and national services that offer support.

Free counselling service

As well as practical advice and resources, you can get emotional support to help lessen the impact of sight loss. We can share more about our free Talking Spaces counselling service when you visit.

Time to ask questions

Sometimes the most effective support is having space to talk things through. Ask questions, explore your options, and take things at your own pace.
