Our Impact
Supporting local people to live well with sight loss since 1979
Since 1979, MySight York has been supporting people living with sight loss to develop independent living skills, stay connected, and make confident choices about their everyday lives. We are a local charity rooted in York and the surrounding areas, working alongside people at every stage of their sight loss journey.
Today, more than 7,000 people are experiencing sight loss across the city, and that number is expected to grow in the coming years.
That means the practical advice, emotional support, and access to opportunities we work to provide have never been more important.

MySight York is a user-led charity, which means people with lived experience of sight loss help shape our priorities, services, and future direction. This ensures what we offer is practical, relevant, and genuinely supportive.
