Beth and friends Skydive for MySight York!

Posted: Wednesday 12 June 2019 | Deborah Cairns

We are hugely grateful to Beth, Alison and Maddy who recently completed a skydive to raise funds for us!

On Friday 31st May Beth Greaves, her mum Alison and friend Maddy, chucked themselves out of a plane (with a parachute and an experienced person) in the name of My Sight York!

Through their bravery and great fundraising they have raised £1145 to date.

If you wish to support them, you can still give through BT My Donate until 30th June:

This is why they did it:

“I’m currently a employee at York Hospital in the eye department. I’ve not been in the health care job for long but in the short time working there I have realised how important sight is to people… I’ve seen how much it can affect people’s day to day lives. That’s why I plucked up the courage to jump out of a plane at 10,000 feet.”
